📋 Summary

• No frills - No onboard entertainment; meals and drinks cost extra.
• Food is decent - Small portions, acceptable taste.
• Standard seats are narrow - Smaller than JAL or ANA.
• Extra legroom seats are worth it - More comfortable than JAL or ANA economy.
• Add-ons are cheapest online, up to 3 hours before departure - Extra luggage, meals, and carry-on allowance cost more at the airport counter.
• Bookings cannot be changed - The Flex Biz package, bought at booking time, is the only way to get anything back if your plans change.

💺 How to get seats with extra legroom

1. Do not book a package - Every package forces a standard seat.
2. Best: extra legroom seats in the front section - A small wall adds privacy and storage pockets.
3. Next best: extra legroom seats in the center aisle, skipping emergency exit rows.
4. On a side aisle, avoid the window seat - The wall curves inward and eats head space.
5. Window seats do have a pocket that fits an iPad.

📦 Packages

• Packages are not much cheaper than buying each item separately, and they cost you the seat choice.
• Every package is limited to standard seats, including middle seats.
• Buy the seat, meal, and baggage individually instead.
• The one package worth weighing is Flex Biz, covered in the cancellation section below.

🍱 Ordering an inflight meal

• Order with your booking, at least 3 hours before departure. Onboard selection is limited.
• Size - Small; order 2 for a long flight.
• Taste - Acceptable so far.
• Timing - You can ask to receive the meal 2 hours before arrival, for a small charge.
• No carbonated water onboard; only soda is sold.
• Flying from Japan? Buy food at the 7-Eleven near the terminal.

🧳 Luggage and carry-on

• You can add luggage any time, but unused luggage is not refunded.
• ZIPAIR Point Club Plus - Worth it if you fly ZIPAIR with checked baggage.

🛫 Airport check-in locations

Counters open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hour before. Checked baggage must be accepted by the same 1-hour deadline.

Mobile check-in is available on the Narita-San Francisco and Narita-San Jose routes.

⚠️ Changing or cancelling a booking

• You cannot change a booking - ZIPAIR does not allow customer-initiated date or flight changes after purchase.
• Flex Biz is the only flexibility - Add it when you make the original booking. It cannot be added later, and it is not sold on Seoul routes.
• How it works - Cancel the booking, receive the eligible amount as a ZIPAIR voucher, book the new flight separately, and pay with the voucher. ZIPAIR never moves the original ticket.

• The clock runs from the scheduled departure time, not midnight, so 7 days means 168 hours.
• A 3% issuance fee is taken from the voucher amount.
• The voucher is valid for 180 days, is issued in the currency of the original booking, and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
• Flex Biz also adds advance seat selection and 8 kg of extra carry-on allowance, for 15 kg total. See the Service Package - ZIPAIR Official Website.
• Flights to and from the USA and Canada - Cancel within 24 hours of booking, with departure at least 7 days away, and the full amount goes back to your original payment method. No Flex Biz needed.
• If ZIPAIR cancels or delays the flight, its disruption policy applies instead, with its own refund and rebooking options.

✈️ Travel tips

• Bring a tablet, not a laptop - Seats are too narrow for a laptop and have a stand for a tablet or phone.
• Charging - USB-A ports work well; the in-seat power plugs sit at an awkward angle and fall out.
• Bring snacks and drinks.
• Seats 19D and 19E are not separated by a hard border.

• Free but very slow. Messaging apps work; browsing does not.
